Wetwall Glasgows Guide to Wetwall installation
At Wetwall Glasgow we believe that the secret to a beautiful and durable wetwall bathroom is all about the quality of the materials used throughout and a first rate installation by experienced wetwall fitters. We therefore strongly reccomend that the best way to achieve this is for you to allow us to install for you, however should you wish to purchase from us on a supply only basis here are some handy tips for you or your fitter of choice to follow.

Use the correct trim throughout.
This is an absolute must, we have been out all to often to price jobs where a previous installation by other companies or tradesman has not been completed using the correct or in some cases any trim at corner sections, above the bath, round windows etc. which has left the bathroom with a lot of silicone on display which eventually looks dirty and ruins the look of the bathroom.
It can also lead to problems with dampness in the future as water can eventually get through, this is not the finish you are looking for!
Don't penny pinch on the silicone.
Again, this is another all to common fault we find in previous wetwall installations either by other companies or DIY'ers.
Where silicone has to be used it should only be of a high quality and carry a minimum 10 year guarantee.
We only use silicone which is independently tested and certified by an accredited microbiological laboratory to show no mould growth after more than 10 years simulated ageing.
Please don't pinch on the pennies here as it may end up costing you pounds!
Measure twice, cut once.
Sometimes a cliche is a cliche for a reason.
It may be the first thing any apprentice tradesman learns but it is the last thing they forget.
Always check and double check your measurements before cutting material to size required and save yourself the potential expense and delays that buying more material due to mis-measures could cause.
